New Website

Hey all,

I’ve been super lazy about the band’s web presence over the last year or so but we finally have a NEW website. Thanks to John Passineau and Mark Beumer for helping get it working. It’s pretty simple to update and navigate so I plan on writing a bit more often about what’s happening in Liars land.

For now, we just have one show coming up at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY on February 6th. We’re psyched to be back at one of our favorite venues around. We will be playing 4 or 5 new songs that we’re pretty excited about. Hope to see you there.

In other news we are slowly but surely working on a new record which is intended for an October 2014 release. In the meantime, I have an exciting cover song coming out soon. The song is a duet with my good friend Emily Easterly and it’s produced by my buddy Greg Laswell. Can’t wait for you to hear it.

Ok, that’s all for now.

Peace out

Breakfast in Bielefeld.

Today we had breakfast at our drummer Elmar’s apartment in Bielefeld.  Many thanks to his lovely wife, Tanja and his adorable daughter, Hannah. Now we head to Dusseldorf for a show.  Afterward we took a walk around a castle from the 1600’s.  More old shit!

2013 German/Swiss tour. Update 1

Hello friends,

Here are some photo’s from the first few days of the 2013 German tour. So far the shows have been amazing.  We started off in Hoëxter playing in a barn that is over 300 years old.  The building next to where we played is 700 years old!  Amazing for me as I love old shit!  There were over 150 people at the first show and we played 16 songs with 2 encores.  I am flattered and humbled to say the least.

The second show was a party for Deutsche Bahn in Frankfurt.  We had our own hotel rooms!  This is a luxury the Liars Club has rarely been afforded.

The third show was in a small town called Detmold and although much smaller than the first two shows, the venue was amazing.  We had 70 or so people packed into a room with a great atmosphere.  The crowd was amazingly attentive and again we played a double encore!

As usual, the people here have been generous and very appreciative of the music.  The band is sounding excellent and the addition of our new drummer here has been amazing.  Elmar Lappe is playing the song as if he’s been in the band for years.  I can’t thank him enough.  As always, Mark Beumer is solid as a rock on bass and John Passineau (our US bass player) is doing a mighty fine job filling in for Jeff Berner on second guitar.  Those are big shoes to fill, literally and figuratively. We do of course miss our JB

Ok, that’s all for now.  I will update in a few days.  Thanks to anyone who is reading and looking.  See you all in November!

Much love to JL, DM, DM and MB.  Maybe someday we can all be here together. Well…. only one of the DM’s :)

Love,

Chris
